Looking at this picture reminds me that many times we get so caught up in our daily tasks that we all too often forget to look up and see the beautiful, colorful world that surrounds us. We get so drawn into the path that we are on that our eyes fixate only on the ground beneath our feet. Our jobs and our day to day worries are like the railroad ties. They move beneath us in a hypnotic, rhythmic pattern that distracts us from the more important things in life. Those things do not go away. It is however, life, loved ones and moments that will never come again that will all too quickly pass us by. Where are you going? Are you on a non-stop road to nowhere? Or an amazing journey through this life to destinations of cherished memories?
